ABOUT ME
Orit Kamara was an adjunct professor of Hebrew in the Foreign Language Department at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) since the Hebrew program was started in 2009 until it was closed in 2016. Orit has taught Hebrew since 2006, teaching all levels - from absolute beginners to very advanced.
December in Tel Aviv
She is a native Israeli born in Eilat. After serving in the Israeli army and traveling for a year in South America, she graduated from Tel Aviv University with a degree in economics. Orit came to the U.S. in 2001 and lived in Overland Park, Kansas until 2023. She is currently living in Israel.
Orit is teaching mainly adults of any age - from 16 years old to 90 years old.
One of the focuses of her Hebrew teaching career between 2014-2016 was developing a program for teaching to read in Hebrew. The result of these 2 years’ work is a book “Learn to Read Hebrew in 4 Weeks!”

I teach online 'one on one' Hebrew lessons. The cost is $60 per 45-minute lesson.
